As everyone is aware of coronavirus, a global medical emergency declared by WHO, it has affected more than 160 nations including India. An ongoing outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by SARS-CoV-2, started in December 2019. It was first identified in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei, China. Infection by the coronavirus is primarily through human-to-human transmission via respiratory droplets that people cough, sneeze, or exhale. The incubation period is typically between two to 14 days.

Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, the infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.

Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, thoroughly cooking meat and eggs. Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.
